Traditions have always meant a lot to me. Maybe even more as I get older and realize how quickly the years go by.
Itβs the familiar recipes, the same stories weβve heard a hundred times, and the little things we do together that somehow become the things we remember most. And yes, Iβll probably still insist we do them the same way, even when someone points out that nobody remembers why we started. Thatβs beside the point. π
Some traditions bring me right back to people I miss. Others are ones I hope my kids will carry into their own homes someday. I love that something as simple as making a family recipe can make the people who came before us feel a little closer.
Life changes. People grow up, move away, and the holidays donβt always look the way they used to. I canβt hold on to every moment, but I can keep making room for the things that bring us together. To me, thatβs what tradition is really about. π€
